In the modern world, quality is ever more seen as the application of various principles to orientate organizational management. The Norm NBR ISO9001, recognized globally, specifies requirements for a Quality Management System that can be used by organizations for internal application, certification or contractual ends.
Therefore, from 2002, imagem initiated the process of ISO9001, with the nomination of a management representative responsible for:
Assuring that the necessary processes for the quality management system were established, implemented and maintained;
Reporting to top level management on the performance of the quality management system and any improvement needed;
Assuring the promotion of awareness of the clients requirements throughout the organization;
Maintaining communication with external parties in matters related to the quality management system. |
And so, all imagem's related sectors were mapped and presented on a site in a process flow format, to which the formulas are annexed as well as procedures, instruction for job execution and quality control for all the company.
Procedures and work instructions are implemented in the company and controlled by means of internal audits. As the quality system evolved improvements were incorporated: strategic planning using the Balanced Scorecard, modal, the best CMMI Capability, Maturity, Model, Integration) practices in the system development processes and solutions, improvement of business practices by means of the 6 Sigma methodology, the best practices for managing projects based in PMBOK and the quality control using the sampling model of ABNT, etc.
IMEGEM received its ISO9001 certification on October 1st 2003 and re- certification on October 1st 2006 along with the DQS- Deutsch Geselishaft Zur ( Brazil); TGA - - Trägergemeinschaft Für Akkreditierung (Alemanha); IQNET - The International Certification Network (EUA) e INMETRO (Brazil).
